Role Summary
As the Acquisitions Manager, you will take responsibility for sourcing, managing, refining and delivering shortlisted and appropriate properties into the company's acquisitions pipeline. Your focus will be on identifying viable development sites, overseeing due diligence processes, supporting site purchasing negotiations, and managing the Acquisitions Support Team. You will also work closely with the onshore leadership team and leverage data, research tools, and process management to ensure acquisition opportunities align with the company’s strategic direction in Brisbane and Victoria.
Key Responsibilities
1. Identify and evaluate potential development sites using zoning insights, overlays, and digital tools (e.g. Landchecker, RP Data).
2. Coordinate with planners and consultants to assess constraints and opportunities, preparing deal summaries and research briefs.
3. Build strong relationships with agents, vendors, and consultants to source both on-market and off-market opportunities.
4. Support virtual negotiations and provide remote assistance for site inspections and stakeholder meetings.
5. Oversee due diligence and feasibility assessments across planning, legal, and environmental areas.
6. Lead the Acquisitions Support Team, ensuring efficient delivery of research, reporting, and CRM updates.
7. Provide strategic insights on market trends and collaborate with internal teams to align acquisitions with development goals.
8. Maintain pipeline visibility through accurate CRM data and dashboards, while driving continuous process improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3–5 years’ experience in real estate acquisitions or buyer’s agency acquisitions, deep property research, or senior development support roles.
- Strong understanding of Australian property markets.
- Proficient in using site research tools such as RP Data, Landchecker, and REI platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to manage remote teams and deliver structured, high-quality output.
- Excellent English communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and process-driven.
- Bachelor’s degree relevant to Real Estate, Property Development, Business, Urban Planning, or related field preferred.
