What You'll Do
Draft financial statements, income tax returns, and other lodgments for companies, partnerships, trusts, and individual businesses.
Utilize your tax expertise to handle tax returns, activity statements, and stay updated on the latest Australian tax regulations.
Offer tax planning advice, guiding clients through FBT (Fringe Benefits Tax), payroll tax, Div7a, CGT (Capital Gains Tax), STP (Single Touch Payroll).
Partner with clients on business advisory projects, developing budgets, cash flow forecasts, and management reports.
Diligently prepare work papers, ensuring accurate reconciliation to the financial statement stage.
Maintain detailed client files and work papers, ensuring compliance with all record-keeping requirements.
Assist clients with general bookkeeping tasks to ensure accurate financial records.
Why You'll Excel in This Role
Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (e.g., Finance, Taxation).
A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Australian taxation, with a solid grasp of tax laws and regulations.
Proven proficiency in preparing tax returns, activity statements, and various lodgements for diverse client structures.
High attention to detail and precision, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify potential tax issues and provide clients with effective solutions.
