API Integration Developer

The API Integration Developer will be responsible for developing and integrating APIs to facilitate seamless communication between various systems and platforms. The ideal candidate will possess extensive, hands-on experience with PHP and the Laravel framework, coupled with strong expertise in MySQL and API integrations. Additionally, proficiency in version control using GIT, web server management with Apache, and practical knowledge in Linux server administration are required. Exceptional debugging skills are essential for this role to ensure the smooth functioning and reliability of all integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain robust API integrations to connect various systems and platforms, primarily utilizing PHP and the Laravel framework.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into precise technical specifications.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, demonstrating a deep understanding of PHP and modern Laravel development practices.
Design and optimize MySQL databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval for integrated systems.
Utilize GIT for version control to manage and track code changes effectively.
Perform comprehensive unit and integration testing to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of API integrations.
Debug and troubleshoot complex issues with API integrations and related systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Document development processes, code changes, and integration procedures thoroughly.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and advancements in API development, with a particular focus on PHP and Laravel ecosystems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical work experience).
Proven experience as an API Integration Developer or a similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in PHP and Laravel-based API development.
Expert-level proficiency in PHP programming and comprehensive knowledge of the Laravel framework, including its core components, architectural patterns, and best practices.
In-depth knowledge of MySQL database design, optimization, and advanced querying.
Extensive hands-on experience with API design, development, and integration (RESTful and/or SOAP APIs).
Proficiency in version control using GIT.
Experience with Apache web server configuration and management.
Basic knowledge of Linux server administration, including command-line operations.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks effectively, and meet project deadlines.
