JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Local SEO Specialist to join our team.

You’ll be responsible for delivering results-driven local SEO campaigns and improving our clients' visibility across Google Search and Google Maps.

Tell us about your experience and your approach to improving rankings

Key Responsibilities:
Google Business Profile Optimisation: We set up, claim, and fully optimise Google Business Profiles (GBP) for clients, including regular updates and post scheduling to boost GBP rankings and click-throughs for various keywords.


Local SEO Strategy Execution: Ability to review a current site and GBP and create and implement local SEO strategies to increase local rankings and map pack visibility.


Citation Building and Clean-Up: Create consistent NAP (Name, Address, Phone) citations across relevant directories and audit existing listings to correct errors.


Website Technical audits and fixes: Conduct regular technical audits to identify and resolve website issues that may affect rankings.


On-Page SEO for Local Pages: Optimise location-specific landing pages (meta tags, content, internal linking, schema markup).


Content creation: create page content, blog content, and Google Business updates content in UK English to help increase keyword relevance


Keyword Research: Identify and implement geo-targeted keywords to align with local search intent.


Tracking & Reporting: Monitor keyword rankings, GBP performance, and provide insights to improve campaign results.


Competitor Analysis: Benchmark against local competitors and identify opportunities for growth.


Skills required

Good English, spoken and written
Good communication skills, written and verbal
Good attention and eye for detail, and works to a high standard.
Proven experience in local SEO, including GBP management and citation building
Solid understanding of SEO tools (e.g., BrightLocal, Google Search Console, SE Ranking)
Familiarity with WordPress or other CMS platforms
Strong spoken and written English and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently
Reliable and consistent weekly availability (20 hours)
Experience with GBP spam fighting or reinstatement processes
Knowledge of local link-building strategies
Understanding of AI-assisted SEO tools



Experience
You should have experience communicating with an account manager and other tea ---------- mbers.
