Job Title: Copywriter & Localization Manager – ASEAN Region

About the Role:
We are looking for a talented and culturally attuned Copywriter & Localization Manager to craft compelling, high-impact content and manage localization efforts across the ASEAN region. This hybrid role is ideal for a versatile wordsmith who understands performance-driven copy and regional nuance. You will be responsible for writing, adapting, and coordinating content for campaigns, app stores, in-app promotions, ads, and influencer briefs—ensuring that all communications resonate with local audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Copywriting
Write clear, concise, and engaging ad copy for TikTok, Meta, and Google campaigns—focusing on scroll-stopping hooks, CTAs, and punchy headlines.
Create App Store and Google Play listing content, including titles, descriptions, promotional blurbs, and keyword-optimized metadata.
Craft impactful push notifications that drive user re-engagement and retention.
Develop in-app promotional content for offers, events, and store placements.
Write campaign slogans and taglines for seasonal promotions, product launches, and regional events.
Draft suggested captions, hashtags, and talking points for influencer campaigns, ensuring consistency and brand tone across markets.
Localization Management
Define and lead the localization strategy for ASEAN markets
Manage localization vendors, freelancers, or agencies—ensuring high-quality translations that go beyond word-for-word adaptation.
Work closely with country managers, regional marketers, and product teams to ensure cultural relevance and resonance in each market.
Maintain a consistent tone of voice across all markets while allowing for appropriate local variation.
Collaboration & Quality Control
Collaborate with designers, media buyers, and growth marketers to ensure that copy aligns with visuals and campaign goals.
Review localized content for quality, brand alignment, and contextual accuracy.
Stay informed about local trends, social behaviors, and cultural events to infuse content with relevance and impact.
Requirements:
3–6 years of experience in copywriting, content marketing, or localization, ideally within the mobile app, gaming, or consumer tech space.
Native or near-native English writing skills, with a flair for short-form, high-conversion copy.
Deep understanding of marketing localization across diverse ASEAN cultures and languages.
Experience managing translation agencies or localization vendors.
Strong understanding of digital platforms (TikTok, Meta, Google Ads) and performance marketing principles.
Ability to write across formats—from headlines and slogans to metadata and in-app text.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
Nice to Have:
Experience in Games and Entertainment or Educational industries.
Fluency or working knowledge of one or more ASEAN languages
Experience with ASO (App Store Optimization) tools and localization workflows.
Background in creative direction or brand development.
