Job Title: IT Education Specialist (with IT Support/Systems Administration Experience)
Location: Remote
Position Type: Part-Time To Start And Grow Into A Full-Time Role
Salary Range: 22,000 - 42,000 PHP Monthly DOE (Depending on Experience)

We are looking for an experienced IT Education Specialist who can leverage their background in IT Support/Help Desk/Services Desk and systems administration to develop comprehensive course curricula and materials. The candidate will be responsible for creating informative and engaging content, taking into consideration student levels, expected outcomes, and course training materials.

Time spent on the organization should be a 90/10 ratio for production/organization.

Hey, my name is Dexter. I own a leading digital marketing agency in El Cajon, California that specializes in advanced SEO, and I’m an Infrastructure Systems Administrator by trade. My journey started as a curious kid interested in building computers, and that evolved into me making a career of it in tech. I’ve had the opportunity to work at the highest levels alongside senior Systems Engineers and Software Engineers throughout my career. One of my other passions is helping those less fortunate get the same opportunities with my coaching programs.

Your Essential Techs:

Your Essential Techs is a top-rated digital marketing agency in El Cajon, California, USA. It was founded by Dexter Blanco in 2021. We streamline, optimize, and scale local businesses’ online presence with data-driven SEO, CRO, and web design. We also have a division that provides Information technology training and mentorship. This position will primarily focus on the Information technology side of the business.

We are not looking for digital marketing professionals; we are seeking IT professionals with experience in education and developing program curricula.


Responsibilities:
1. Create and Deliver Content:
-Align Content with Company Guidelines: Craft content to assist technical staff and customers according to specific guidelines.
-Develop Various Content Types: Employ different writing styles and formats, adapting to various types of technical writing.
-Create Original or Modified Content: Generate content through research or by adapting existing content to suit the project.
-Deliver to Target Audience: Ensure content reaches the intended audience through appropriate channels.
-Design Infographics and Illustrations: Develop infographics and other visual aids to enhance the understanding of complex topics.

2. Technical Environment Management:
-Assess and Implement Changes: Evaluate current technical environments and make necessary changes to optimize performance and support new requirements.
-Collaborate with IT Team: Work closely with the IT team to ensure that changes align with overall technical strategies and business goals.
-Maintain Documentation: Document any changes made to the technical environment and update relevant manuals and guides accordingly.
-Provide Training: Educate staff and students on changes and new procedures within the technical environment to ensure smooth transitions and continued efficiency.

3. Subject and Topic Research:
-Conduct In-Depth Theoretical Research: Delve into professional topics within the niche, becoming a subject matter expert.
-Gather Information from Various Sources: Utilize multiple resources to correlate topic-related information.
-Analyze Previous Reports: Study and discern useful information from existing literature.
-List and Prioritize Points: Narrow research down to specific points, listing them in order of importance to the subject.

4. Organizing Facts:
-Collect Strong and Timely Facts: Ensure that the information presented carries the weight of the content.
-Organize Facts Strategically: Dedicate time to arrange facts in an order that best supports the text or solution.
-Fine-tune the Writing Process: Use organized facts to streamline the writing process, allowing more time for effective research.
-Tailor to Specific Tasks: Organize facts differently depending on the task, such as white papers, to support particular arguments.

5. Developing Content Guidelines:
-Create and Maintain Guidelines: Work with senior writers to develop guidelines according to ongoing procedures, content needs, and policies.
-Provide Training to New Writers: Train junior writers in content creation based on the established guidelines.
-Lead Content Strategy: Depending on the hierarchy, lead efforts that are made to create more efficient guidelines for future content.
-Update Guidelines with Business Goals: Regularly review and update content guidelines to reflect changing business goals and requirements.
-Act as a Point Person: Serve as the main communicator for developing new guidelines to align with new business objectives.

Requirements:
-2+ years of experience as a Technical Writer
Ideally, 4+ years in an information technology role related to Help Desk/Systems Administration/Systems Engineering
-Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
-Self-starter who needs little management
-Ability to multitask
-Strong desire to learn new things
-Excellent project management and a positive attitude
-Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and communicate effectively with business owners and C-Level executives
-Must possess a strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work in a highly intense environment
-Take ownership of tasks and projects from start to finish
-Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and effectively communicate high-level tech concepts to students.
-Desire to be on a team of positive, success-minded individuals


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
-Understanding of basic computer hardware & repair
-Understanding of common computer operating systems (Windows Desktop & Server, Linux/Unix-like OS’s)
-Understanding of networking protocols and systems
-Basic understanding of scripting and automation:
-Active Directory experience
-Virtualization technologies
-Basic understanding of cloud services
-Basic understanding of security fundamentals
-ITIL framework
-Troubleshooting and problem-solving
-Documentation skills
-Experience with Office 365
-Teaching and mentoring
-Learning Management Systems (LMS)
-Basic understanding of the ability to create infographics and designs to aid the illustration of topics


COMPENSATION:
The salary range listed for this position, 26,000 - 42,000 PHP, is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at Your Essential Techs, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education. In addition, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current tea ---------- mbers as part of any final offer. We typically do not hire towards the maximum of the range in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
