New Era Electric Inc. is a U.S.-based infrastructure contractor focused on roadway electrical work, including traffic signals, lighting, and public works. We’re looking for a high-level attorney based in the Philippines who can become fully fluent in Florida construction law, government contracts, risk management, and dispute support.

???? Role Summary
We’re seeking a highly analytical and experienced attorney (PH-barred) to serve as Legal Counsel in all construction-related legal matters. You’ll start by mastering Florida law through hands-on casework, real contract reviews, and guided legal research—eventually managing risk, drafting contracts, preparing claims, and supporting litigation with U.S. attorneys as needed.

This role requires deep legal interpretation skills, strategic thinking, and the drive to become a true legal partner in a fast-moving, high-stakes industry.

???? Key Responsibilities
Review, interpret, and help negotiate public and private construction contracts

Draft subcontractor agreements, service contracts, and material purchase terms

Support lien tracking, bond rights, change orders, and pay application disputes

Interpret risk clauses, indemnifications, P&P bonds, and delay damages

Analyze legal situations involving U.S. agencies or government retaliation

Help prepare formal communications and claims against prime contractors or agencies

Build a Florida construction law knowledge base (statutes, cases, strategies)

Assist in litigation preparation and legal file organization for outside U.S. counsel

? Required Qualifications
Licensed Attorney in the Philippines (Bar Passer required)

5+ years legal experience (contracts, civil, or construction preferred)

Exceptional legal interpretation and writing skills

Strong research ability and willingness to specialize in U.S. / Florida law

Highly detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable working remotely

Excellent English (spoken and written), especially for legal drafting

Bonus: experience in U.S. contract law, claims handling, or construction disputes

???? We Will Provide:
Training and mentoring on Florida construction law

Sample cases, contracts, and legal reference docs

Access to U.S. attorneys for collaboration

Real-time legal exposure through live disputes, invoicing rejections, and agency conflicts

???? Compensation & Benefits
Full-time, PH-based remote legal counsel

Competitive monthly salary based on legal background and ability

Long-term growth into Head of Legal / Risk Manager

Bonuses based on dispute resolution, risk savings, and protection impact

???? How to Apply
Send your CV and a cover letter addressing:
