You are: A highly skilled, detailed, and experienced Sr QA Specialist who takes pride in shipping high quality products free of bugs. You have experience in testing complex applications which span across multiple platforms (Web, iOS, Android). You are skilled at identifying defects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and improving testing processes. The ideal candidate is adept at designing effective test plans, executing various types of tests, and managing defects, ensuring the delivery of reliable, high-performing products. You are someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, thinks outside the box, and is able to work with evolving requirements. The leadership of the company is technical, so it is critical that you are a good communicator (you listen just as well as you speak) and are able to collaborate across cross-functional teams.


The Job: As a Sr QA Specialist, you will become an integral part of a dedicated team tasked with delivering our core offering. You will play a crucial role in the software development lifecycle by designing effective test plans, executing tests, and managing defects. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure seamless software performance. This position calls for a high degree of professionalism, technical expertise, great attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions.


Responsibilities
• Execute thorough manual tests for web applications, ensuring that software meets functional requirements.
• Conduct different types of testing including functional, regression, integration, user acceptance, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document, and report software defects in a clear and concise manner using bug-tracking tools like Jira or similar platforms.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure that new software changes do not introduce new defects (regression testing).
• Maintain comprehensive records of test activities, defects, and overall product quality metrics.


Required skills and qualifications
• TEAM PLAYER
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with at least 7 years of relevant experience in software testing (web).
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, life cycles, and best practices.
• Have worked and excelled in both startup and institutional environments.
• Proficiency in using test management and bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
• Experience in creating test plans for single-page applications (ReactJS) as well as iOS and Android mobile applications.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Resourceful, with a strong ability to develop solutions, build relationships, and see opportunities that others might miss.
