We are an expanding agency currently operating in the Lake District in the UK. We are recruiting a virtual design assistant to join our company. You will be working alongside our lead designer to create digital brochures for each unique home we are selling; putting together the photos, text, and branding to contribute to the production of a physical document that we can gift to our clients and show our buyers to help us sell the home. To be successful in this position, you will be a self-starter, capable of using Adobe creative suite and showing amazing attention to detail.
What you’ll do:
Aid our designer to put together elements to create bespoke brochures.
Follow a brief and adapt this to each individual task.
Demonstrate high-level, hands-on skills in the latest Adobe Creative Suite.
Be creative, and passionate about design. Coming up with new layouts that are complimentary to flow of the home and scheme.
Manage multiple projects and remain flexible through revisions while paying keen attention to detail.
Manage your time effectively, maintain responsibility for your projects and ensure they always run smoothly, with ability to meet deadlines.
Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed and by priority.
Check-in with lead designer to show progress and brief for new projects.
To qualify… you should be a graphic designer or similar with a CV which demonstrates the following: (not in order of importance):
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong emphasis on Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. (can be demonstrated)
(preferred) equivalent bachelor’s degree in a design-based subject.
A portfolio which demonstrates a diverse range of (graphic) design work. - experience with typography, colour, layout and imagery and know how to bring these elements together to embody a brands personality, voice and values. – a strong eye for visual composition.
(preferred) experience in creating book documents in InDesign.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal (English).
Ability to receive constructive criticism.
Follow a strict brief and take direction well.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in google (doc, sheets etc) and dropboxTM use – file naming and sorting.
