Construction Estimator - Handyman/Remodeling Company

About the Role:
HandymanCo Home Services is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Remote Estimator to support our growing handyman and remodeling business. You’ll work directly with the business owner and receive job details, measurements, and photos. Using AI tools (like ChatGPT) and other online resources, you’ll create accurate estimates for labor time, material quantities, and job costs.

Responsibilities:

Review job details, photos, and measurements provided by the owner

Use AI tools (including ChatGPT) to determine material needs, labor hours, and construction methods

Create clean, organized estimates using our templates or project management software

Collaborate with the team to refine pricing or clarify project scope

Monitor material pricing and recommend cost-effective alternatives when appropriate

Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Experience with construction, remodeling, or handyman services preferred

Proficiency with AI tools (ChatGPT, Google, etc.) to assist in material and labor calculations

Good written English and communication skills

Ability to follow instructions and ask smart clarifying questions

Familiarity with estimating software, spreadsheets, or tools like Jobber is a plus

Tools You’ll Use:

ChatGPT and other AI assistants

Google Docs / Sheets

Jobber (or similar CRM, training provided)

Online pricing databases (Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc.)

$1,250 USD monthly salary.
