JavaScript - SQL - Database Developer

We desire an honest and reliable developer that is looking to work full time. 25 to 40 hours weekly. A good Problem-solver. Fast-learner on managing a Business Intelligence platform, Onboarding end-users, and learn how to work with setting up data analytics.

Responsible for database development and function. Making sure UI templates are working properly.

Responsibilities
• Work closely with business users and project managers to outline functional specs.
• Architect application workflow and design user interface.
• Work within BI Software with JavaScript, CSS, XHTML, HTML5, PHP, SQL.
• Integrate app with web services, CRM’s, Marketing platform, cloud platforms, data providers, and emails, etc.
• Take projects from concept through the development cycle.
• Fast learner.
Qualifications
• Expert in CSS, XHTML, JavaScript, SQL, HTML5, RSS, jQuery.
• Full working knowledge of Web Services, XML.
• Knowledge of current UI/UX design and development trends.
• Knowledge of SQL or other database systems.
• Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and quality oriented.
• Excellent English writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and perform well under pressure of tight deadlines.

CONTRACT TERMS AND REQUIREMENTS - DEVELOPER

This is an at-will agreement for 10 Months. This contract is expected to be converted to an employment agreement after the 10th month if the developer and Kingston Bay has agreed to continue their relationship.

It is important to be aware of the following expectations:

* The developer is required to work to the best of his/her abilities during the agreed upon hours and days. Must work to protect the platform

* Any request for time off for local holidays within the Philippines must be requested one month in advance of any such holiday – No more than 4-holiday requests will be accepted within this 10 months’ agreement.

* Approved time off will not affect pay. Times that are taken without approval will be deducted from total pay.

The following USA holidays are paid holidays:

1. New Year’s Day & the day after New Year’s Day (Jan 1st and 2nd)
2. Martin Luther King Holiday (Jan 16th)
3. Memorial Day (May 29th)
4. Independence Day (July 4th)
5. Labor Day (Sept 4th)
6. Veterans Day (Nov 11th) – Observed Nov 10th, 2017
7. Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving (Nov 23rd and 24th)
8. The day before, Christmas Day, and the day after (December 24th, 25th, 26th)

* Developers are offered 5 paid sick days, 2 times yearly.
* Developers are offered 2 personal paid days, 2 times yearly, but not within 6 weeks of each time taken.
* Developers are entitled to 1 week paid vacation after 7 months of contracted employment.
* Developers will receive a pay increase after his/her first 6 months – Once a job performance review is taken, Kingston Bay will negotiate with the developer to increase pay rate that is acceptable to both the developer and Kingston Bay Technologies.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
WE ARE OPENING AN OFFICE LOCATION IN DUBAI, UAE AROUND
OCT/NOV 2017 AND WILL BE OFFERING ALL DEVELOPERS THE OPTION OF CONVERTING TO AN EMPLOYEE AND TO RELOCATE TO DUBAI UNDER A 3-YEAR AGREEMENT.

All Developers are entitled to a contract-to-employee conversion. At the time of conversion, Developers will be offered an employment agreement that includes:

Relocation to Dubai, UAE – Note: This relocation is dependent on developer’s ability to pass a criminal background check and health check to receive a residence visa for the UAE. In addition, up to 4 UAE resident visas’ will be offered to developer’s Immediate family members. ***Parents of the employee are determined on a case-by-case basis and/or permission from the UAE Govt***

A Salaried position (No less than $6,500 Monthly). In addition, all Housing and Medical benefits are covered 100% by the company.

Educational (School Fees are covered 100% up to the age of 18 years old for a maximum of 3 dependent children of the employee).

The 10 Month contract will be converted to a 3-year employment agreement.
