Job Summary:
The Home Care Recruiter is responsible for full lifecycle recruitment of qualified caregivers (e.g., CNAs, HHAs, LPNs, RNs) to meet the staffing needs of our clients. This role plays a critical part in ensuring BrightStar Care maintains a strong pipeline of compassionate, skilled, and reliable care professionals who embody our commitment to A Higher Standard of Home Care. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, organized, and effective communicator with a passion for connecting great talent with meaningful work.
Key Responsibilities:
Full Lifecycle Recruitment: Manage the entire recruitment process from sourcing and screening to interviewing, offering, and onboarding for various home care positions (e.g., CNA, HHA, LPN, RN).
Sourcing and Outreach: Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates, utilizing various channels including online job boards, social media, professional networks, community outreach, career fairs, and local training programs.
Candidate Screening: Conduct thorough phone screens and initial interviews to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, communication skills, professionalism, and cultural fit with BrightStar Care's values.
Interview Coordination: Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers (e.g., Director of Nursing, Care Coordinator).
Onboarding Support: Facilitate the new hire onboarding process, ensuring all necessary paperwork, background checks, drug screenings, and credentialing are completed accurately and efficiently in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential candidates, current employees, and community partners (e.g., nursing schools, vocational training centers) to foster a positive recruitment experience and develop talent pipelines.
Compliance: Ensure all recruitment and hiring practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as BrightStar Care's policies and procedures.
Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) or recruitment database.
Marketing & Branding: Contribute to promoting BrightStar Care as an employer of choice within the local community.
Reporting: Track and report on key recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, source of hire, retention rates) to identify areas for improvement.
Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, recruitment best practices, and local labor market conditions to continuously improve recruitment strategies.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
Experience: Minimum of [e.g., 2-3] years of recruitment experience, with at least [e.g., 1] year specifically in healthcare or home care preferred.
Skills:
Proven ability to source, screen, and recruit qualified candidates.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS software.
Familiarity with various online job boards and social media for recruitment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and healthcare credentialing requirements preferred.
