Figma Theme Consultant/Designer for Shopify

A wellness-focused art and lifestyle brand seeking an experienced consultant/designer with a strong understanding of Shopify 2.0 themes to help shape the visual foundation of our online store using Figma.

This is not a full custom theme build — instead, we’re selecting a premium Shopify theme (e.g., Impulse, Prestige, Editions, etc.) and need your guidance in choosing the right one based on our product types, image formats, and brand tone. From there, you’ll create a layout and style guide in Figma that aligns with the selected theme’s structure.

This role includes:
Helping us choose the best Shopify 2.0 theme for our store
Designing our key pages in Figma using that theme’s structure
Translating our brand aesthetic (calming, elegant, sensory) into layout and styling

Scope of Work
1. Theme Evaluation & Recommendation
Evaluate our brand needs, product image types (portrait-oriented art), and content flow
Test candidate themes (Impulse, Prestige, Editions, or others you suggest)
Recommend theme(s) with rationale and visual examples
Provide a section-by-section map of how our content will live within that theme

2. Figma Design & Layout Guidance
Create a brand style guide in Figma (colors, typography, buttons, spacing)
Design desktop + mobile mockups for:
Homepage (using theme sections)
Collection page (filters, layout)
Product page (image size guidance)
About, Contact, “Our Approach” page structure
Provide image treatment & mockup guidelines
Include clear annotations for handoff to the Shopify developer

About You
You’ve worked extensively with Shopify themes (not just custom builds)
You know how to design within theme constraints while still making it beautiful
You can translate a calming, wellness-inspired brand into a clean and welcoming UI
You’re confident comparing Shopify themes and guiding non-technical clients
You’re comfortable designing in Figma and documenting for developer handoff
