JOB OVERVIEW

About Adly:

Adly is a technology, data, and performance driven portfolio of SaaS subscription and content companies. Our founders have built, acquired, scaled, and sold several SaaS and content businesses, and have added many of those portfolio companies into Adly.

Under Adly’s current umbrella are multiple social media growth SaaS businesses, a technology driven dating platform, a B2B WiFi marketing platform, ad-driven content sites, and several more to come. We utilize a combination of paid media (Facebook Ads, Google Ads), organic search / SEO strategy, funnel optimization / CRO, and product design to scale user acquisition and maximize retention across the portfolio.

About this role:
Adly is looking for a full-time, remote Analytics Engineer contractor to join our analytics team and elevate our data infrastructure and analytics capabilities. This role is critical to building scalable, reliable, and observable data systems that drive high-quality reporting and insights across our portfolio companies.
As an Analytics Engineer, you’ll operate at the intersection of data engineering and analytics — modernizing our transformation logic, implementing CI/CD workflows, and strengthening our data infrastructure. You’ll collaborate closely with analysts and business stakeholders to ensure fast, reliable, and well-documented access to trusted data.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in data engineering, with deep experience building and maintaining modern data pipelines and transformation layers. Your ability to model and structure subscription-based and product data will power key insights across our businesses. You thrive on owning workflows end-to-end — from ingestion and transformation to monitoring and data quality — and enjoy solving technical challenges that reduce complexity and improve the speed and reliability of decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain scalable, reliable ETL/ELT pipelines and ingestion processes across systems such as payment processors and SaaS platforms.
Own the dbt transformation layer, including migrating legacy logic, implementing CI/CD, and managing dev/prod environments.
Introduce observability into our stack with centralized logging, failure alerts, and run-status monitoring across VMs, Airbyte, and cloud services
Collaborate cross-functionally with analysts and stakeholders to deliver clean, documented, and business-ready data models.
Continuously audit and improve our data infrastructure by reducing tech debt, cost analysis, standardizing practices, and optimizing for usability and performance.

Minimum Requirements
3-5+ years of experience in analytical or data engineering roles.
Strong SQL skills and deep understanding of relational data modeling.
Experience with dbt and version-controlled transformation workflows.
Proficiency in Python and familiarity with building or managing data pipelines.
Experience with a modern data warehouse (preferably BigQuery).
Familiarity with pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airbyte, Cloud Composer, Dagster).
Clear communicator who can collaborate effectively with analysts and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a subscriptions-based company.
Experience building and monitoring cloud-native pipelines (Cloud Functions, GCP Logging/Monitoring, etc.)
Familiarity with CI/CD workflows for data (e.g., GitHub Actions, dbt Cloud, or similar).
Hands-on experience implementing alerting and observability for data jobs.
Looker, Preset, Metabase or another Business Intelligence tool expertise.
Experience working in fast-paced environments.

What Adly Offers:
A leadership team that has founded, scaled, and sold several startups and has every intention of continuing to scale Adly into a dominant player in the SaaS and content space
Small team, plenty of room for career advancement
A ridiculously awesome work environment - equal parts laid-back startup and motivated meritocracy
Great opportunities to grow your technical skills and grow into a leader in the growth and marketing space.
