Growing Over The Road Trucking company in Alsip, IL 60803 USA in search of Fleet Maintanence Position.

PLEASE NOTE : You got to have experience with SEMI trucks and Trailers maintenance and repairs in USA


DUTIES: Plans, supervises and directs all repairs and maintenance activities of every vehicle and trailer in fleet. Will ensure efficient set up and use of equipment to ensure maximization of productivity yet maintaining optimum safety. Will maintain accurate maintenance record for each vehicle in fleet. Will provide support for over the road breakdowns and maintenance. Will promote safety and efficiency while maintaining a positive and productive relationship with drivers. Will find and negotiate shop, services and prices with shops to fix truck or trailer. Will assess the damage and determine if it is critical breakdown or can wait.


QUALIFICATIONS: Must have at least 2 years experience in managing maintenance for SEMI trucks and trailers. Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines. Must be able to be available to assist drivers on the road at the evenings (USA Time) and weekends. Must be able to efficiently negotiate price for services and parts with different vendors. Approximately half of the time will be spent providing maintanence support over the phone and half on communicating with drivers to develop relationships to improve driver performance and encourage retention. Pay and all additional details will be determined at the interview. Hours are Monday - Friday 6pm -7am (USA Central Standard Time) and Every 3rd Weekend (Friday 6pm till Monday 7am) you are on duty taking calls if needed (3-4 calls a day) More weekend work is available for more $ if needed. GOT TO HAVE EXPERIENCE in fixing, negotiating and evaluating repairs for US Trucks. This is a must, we can not train.
