JOB OVERVIEW

Need a graphic artist / designer who is must be familiar with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. We use these programs prolifically and need someone who is not stumbling through these programs because our deadlines can often be rapid.

The work ranges from 44 page programs for events to 10 foot signage to billboard designs and web graphic layouts and social media campaigns.

You do NOT need to understand marketing tools, measuring ROI, or measuring numbers and returns. We manage all of that on the client end. We are looking for someone that we can work with in this specific capacity.

What we will do:
- Interview the client. Take samples of what they love. Take samples of what they hate. Work with them to build as much clarity as possible about what the project will entail, what it will look like and the emotional reaction they wish for the project to evoke when delivered to their end user.

- We will compile the information and help source initial photography for use in the project.

- We will decide what language, verbiage and spiffy quotes will be used in the branding / marketing messaging on the piece.

- We will decide what programs the project will be designed in based upon the client's needs of certain file-types on the final delivery, or the project's needs based on our understanding of the initial interview.

- We will take the proofs you provide and acquire / relay client feedback with as much clarity and specificity as possible. We are very thorough and we pride ourselves on being able to deliver on what our clients' needs are. We are at a place where we need a few more hands on deck.

- We will manage the client relationship, and we will work with you to help you understand the concept. We will NOT just drop chicken scratch notes on you and expect you to deliver something amazing....but we do expect you to deliver amazing work, because we do, and this is what we promise to our clients.

What you will do:

- Take the extensive notes and ask any questions you need to gain clarity BEFORE working on the project.

- BE CREATIVE. We sound rough and direct, but we value free-thinking, outside the box workers who will take chances. In that case, deliver one that looks like what we asked for and deliver a proof that looks like what you think would improve it. We definitely value someone with a creative mind and this is really the only way to truly see it. Play around.

- Timely delivery, and respect for deadlines.

- Layout the blocking of the design, select appropriate typography when necessary (most times we will select this, but we are open to your creative choices), and source and embed photography that matches the interview specs.

- Masterfully command the design tools to bend to your will and impress with your creative powers.

- Be able to deliver proofs to us in various formats (jpg, png, tiff, pdf, etc.).

- Be familiar with various file-types and the differences between which are used best for print vs digital advertising.

- Be familiar with trouble-shooting errors in exporting file-types.

- Deliver the proofs in mock-ups when appropriate to be able to give an idea of what the design will look like in a practical setting. Ex. Logo design will expect to see on a coffee mug, on a folder cover, on a business card, on a billboard, on the side of a truck, etc. That kind of thing along with the raw logo itself.

- CREATIVE WORK. We DO NOT deliver logo design, etc. to our clients that resembles or looks like anything else we would find anywhere else. It can be inspired by something, but to take a sample of something, and then change a few colors here or there and flip it horizontally will get you fired immediately.

We are looking for a true creative that understands how to speak through images in various tones of voice: "edgey, hip cool....professional, stiff, and serious....caring, nurturing, loving....stodgy, boring, and detail-oriented...fun, childish, and impetuous..."

That should give you an IDEA (**wink wink).
