JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a story-driven, emotionally intelligent video editor who can turn talking head footage, transcripts, and a creative brief into scroll-stopping 15–60 second videos with strong narrative pacing, typography, and compelling use of real-world footage.

Tasks include:

Editing videos using supplied A-roll and creative briefs

Integrating B-roll from news coverage, event footage, and motion graphics

Adding burned-in subtitles, text overlays, logos, CTA screens

Syncing music and sound design to maximize emotional impact

Following brand/voice guidelines for each campaign

Exporting in multiple formats (Reels, YouTube, Stories, 16:9, 9:16, 1:1)

???? Requirements:

Fluent in Adobe Premiere Pro (or Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)

Experience editing short-form content (especially 30s–60s political, cultural, or nonprofit)

Strong typography and kinetic text skills

Ability to edit with supplied transcripts or follow timestamped scripts

Comfortable working with serious subject matter (discrimination, civil rights, community advocacy)

BONUS: Experience editing around news headlines, press footage, and advocacy campaigns

BONUS: Familiarity with Arab or Middle Eastern culture or political advocacy

Freelance/part-time to start (5–10 videos/month)

Potential to expand to full-time with consistent weekly projects

Must be responsive, communicative, and able to hit deadlines
