I am seeking an experienced Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) consultant with a proven track record of e-commerce business acquisitions, specifically within the Shopify ecosystem. Your primary role will be to identify, vet, and assist in the negotiation and acquisition of a profitable Shopify store.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify profitable, established Shopify stores that fit my acquisition criteria
Analyze financials, traffic, and operational metrics for due diligence
Prepare acquisition strategies and risk assessments
Advise on valuation, negotiation, and deal structure
Coordinate with brokers, sellers, and legal/financial professionals as needed
Support with transition and post-acquisition integration planning
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in M&A, business brokerage, or business development (e-commerce focus preferred)
Direct experience acquiring Shopify (or other e-commerce) stores for clients or personally
Proficiency with due diligence, financial analysis, and valuation techniques
Strong negotiation skills and understanding of deal structures
Excellent communication, project management, and documentation skills
Familiarity with marketplaces such as Exchange Marketplace, Flippa, Empire Flippers, or FE International is a strong plus
