About Sagewood Advisors:
We are a boutique mergers and acquisitions advisory firm that helps business owners sell their companies the right way, with clean financials, qualified buyers, and outcomes that actually close. We don’t chase listings. We close deals. And we need someone who can help us do that more efficiently.
About the Role:
This is a transaction coordination role for someone who already knows the M&A world. If you’ve supported business brokers, investment bankers, or private equity deal teams before, you’ll hit the ground running. If you haven’t, this role isn’t a fit.
You’ll be in charge of managing the back end of every active listing. That includes coordinating pre-listing materials from clients, completing and maintaining organized deal files, managing timelines for brokers to submit required information, and using AI tools to generate listing profiles and marketing summaries.
You’ll handle all buyer inquiries, the NDA and onboarding process, and keep our CRM up to date with buyer interest and listing statuses. You’ll schedule follow-up tasks, create
Once offers come in, you’ll manage LOIs, track deal timelines, and keep due diligence organized and moving. You’ll assist in scheduling buyer-seller calls and serve as the central communication point for all the small details that make deals close smoothly.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll manage listing coordination from start to finish, beginning with gathering materials from sellers and ending at the closing table. You’ll maintain complete and accurate deal files, generate marketing materials, and ensure all deliverables are tracked and completed. You’ll move buyer leads through the lifecycle from NDA to discovery call and make sure no follow-up is missed. You’ll monitor timelines, broker obligations, and client commitments so no balls get dropped. And you’ll help keep every deal on track and on deadline.
What You Must Have:
You must have direct experience in business brokerage, mergers and acquisitions, or private equity. If you haven’t worked in deal support before, this is not the right role.
You need to be organized, tech savvy, and comfortable working in a fast moving, detail heavy environment. You should know how to work with CRMs, organize files, review contracts and timelines, and stay one step ahead of what’s needed. You must be comfortable communicating with brokers and clients and keeping a team on task even when things get chaotic.
You must be detail oriented enough to read every sentence, including this one. Tell us about your favorite dessert somewhere in your application.
We work in US Mountain Time and you must have at least partial daily overlap with that timezone.
To Apply:
In your application, please provide a detailed overview of your experience related to business transactions, specifically your role in coordinating or supporting M&A, business sales, private equity deals, or similar engagements. Only applicants with relevant experience will be considered.
