Talented video editor and visual storyteller for business strategy & communications services agency

Experienced video editor with very strong editing, storytelling and English skills needed. Primary responsibilities include creating high-quality informative YouTube videos and other visually engaging content marketing for our agency and our clients. Personable, adaptable, and skilled video editor needed to work closely with me and my team on multiple projects across different media spaces.

It is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic creative strategist working with exciting US & global tech startup clients. My agency helps businesses, founders and executives figure out their brand DNA, validate their growth strategy, and create key messaging to attract sales, investment and partnership.

The job is project-based to start with the opportunity to convert to salaried employment for the right candidate, demonstrating strong video editing and storytelling skills, independent initiative, and positive team spirit. Hourly compensation of $6.87-11/hr will be based on quality of portfolio and experience.

I am a former college design professor and believe deeply in creating a collaborative, learning and growth oriented team. Our team is made up of me in the USA, the core team in the Philippines (from OLJ!), and a group of talented international subcontractors. We work closely together as a team, and this requires frequent (and sometimes long) zoo ---------- etings and regular live creative collaboration, largely on US EST working hours.

I have very high expectations around quality and I invest time in training our tea ---------- mbers to exceed expectations. Our work is focused on strategic communication, which means we are about quality more than quantity. This position is for someone with significant experience in video editing and production.

Must have skills:
+ Proficient in the full life cycle of video production, including concept development, scripting, shot list creation, production and post-production
+ Knowledge on best practices for high Youtube engagement
+ A good handle on different cinematic techniques
+ Strong knowledge of video formats and compression
+ Capability to edit and color grade XAVS S/HS 4K 4:2:2 10-bit S-Log video footage
+ Proficient in professional talking head and vlog-type video styles
+ Good visual storyteller
+ Comfortable with working with a primarily Mac OS team. You can work on a PC, but we don’t speak that language.

Experience with one or more of the following software suites:
+ DaVinci Resolve (desired)
+ Adobe Premier Pro

+ Personable, works well in real-time collaboration with a diverse creative team
+ Comfortable taking constructive criticism and creative direction fro ---------- and the team
+ Comfortable working with a time tracker.
+ Comfortable teaching yourself new technical skills

Big Bonus skills:
+ Strong typography skills
+ Motion graphics skills
+ Animation skills
+ Knowledge of contemporary AI editors
+ Film/Video, Communication Arts, Graphic Design, or Fine Arts degree
