JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role:

We are seeking a creative, self-motivated Social Media Specialist to manage and elevate the organic social presence of two growing service-based businesses—one in the events industry, and the other in healthcare. The ideal candidate will be experienced in content creation, strategic planning, and digital community engagement, with a proven ability to drive audience interaction and lead generation.

?

Key Responsibilities:

Content Strategy & Creation
• Develop engaging, on-brand content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
• Create short-form videos, reels, graphics, and stories aligned with marketing goals and seasonal campaigns.
• Draft content briefs and execute creative direction provided by the business owner.

Social Media Management
• Schedule and publish organic content using tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Later.
• Manage day-to-day engagement: respond to comments, DMs, and reviews in a timely and professional manner.
• Convert meaningful interactions into qualified CRM leads or inquiries.

Campaign Support
• Assist in executing content plans for upcoming events, promotions, and awareness drives.
• Work alongside the paid advertising team to ensure organic content aligns with ad strategy.

Analytics & Reporting
• Track performance across platforms, identify content that resonates, and optimize future posts.
• Provide regular reports summarizing reach, engagement, and conversion metrics with actionable insights.

?

Requirements:
• 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in social media management across multiple brands.
• Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Spark, or other image/video editing tools.
• Strong written and visual storytelling skills.
• Familiarity with social media scheduling tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, or Later.
• Excellent time management and self-organization—able to manage multiple priorities remotely.
• Comfortable working with partial overlap in New Zealand time zones.

?

Preferred:
• Prior experience in industries such as events, hospitality, health, wellness, or retail.
• An eye for branding and consistency, with the ability to create polished, on-brand content.

?

Scope & Growth:
• This is a part-time remote position, estimated at 20 hours per week.
• Potential to expand to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.
• Performance measured by engagement growth, lead conversions, and overall content quality.
