Distinctive Roofing is a leading roofing company with 35+ employees, known for its high-quality workmanship and strong, people-first company culture. We’re looking for a part-time Virtual Assistant with HR experience specific to Florida to help manage and support our growing team.

**MUST HAVE USA HR Experience**
**MUST HAVE experience with Payroll**

We’re seeking a proactive, detail-oriented HR professional who’s comfortable working remotely and independently. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Florida HR laws, payroll, employee management, and onboarding systems—especially using Paycor. You must be tech-savvy, people-focused, and confident in resolving employee issues across time zones.

>>> What You’ll Do:
- Run payroll through Paycor for U.S.-based employees
- Process direct transfers for overseas staff (outside of Paycor)
- Monitor employee time tracking: clock-ins and clock-outs
- Write and post job ads for open roles
- Coordinate and conduct interviews
- Assist department in selecting candidates
- Create and execute structured onboarding plans
- Write job descriptions and keep org chart UpToDate
- Conduct Onboarding Presentations
- Liaise with IT consultants to set up new hire equipment
- Coordinate with in-office staff for on-site hires
- Set up benefits at 90 days and 1-year employment milestones
- Track and manage 30/60/90-day check-ins
- Initiate and manage annual performance reviews, bonuses, and self-evaluations
- Collect and organize feedback on employee performance
- Maintain and update HR documents and policies
- Assist with team training and onboarding
- Address and resolve employee concerns or issues
- Communicate with entire staff consistently
- Enforce company culture
- Write SOP for HR processes

>>> Who We’re Looking For:
- Must have Florida-based HR experience
- Familiarity with Paycor or similar HR platforms
- Experience processing payroll and managing benefits
- Strong understanding of U.S. and FL labor laws
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Highly organized, resourceful, and self-motivated
- Comfortable working during U.S. EST hours (partial overlap required)
