About the Role

I am launching a new adult speech therapy and professional communication practice and need a skilled Web Designer + SEO Specialist to build a professional website and support early digital marketing efforts.

This is a startup opportunity with potential to grow into ongoing consulting on marketing, content, and business setup.

Responsibilities
• Design and develop a clean, accessible website on Wix (or recommend suitable alternatives)
• Optimize pages for SEO (keywords, metadata, alt tags, etc.)
• Write or refine website content, ensuring clear messaging and strong calls to action
• Create a smooth, user-friendly experience
• Advise on lead generation and digital marketing strategy
• Support with business startup setup tasks (branding, content planning)
• Ensure compliance awareness with Canadian health privacy laws (PIPEDA, PHIPA) — a strong asset

Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in web design, UX/UI, SEO, and content writing/editing
• Familiarity with healthcare industry or regulated professions (preferred)
• Understanding of Canadian legal/privacy requirements and business set up related to health services (asset/ preferred but not necessary)
• Reliable, communicative, self-directed, and responsive
• Experience working remotely with Canadian/North American clients (preferred)
• Bonus: Based in the Philippines or willing to work overlapping hours with Canada

Project Terms
• Contract type: Flat rate or hourly for initial website build
• Opportunity for longer-term engagement in marketing and consulting; if marketing strategies successful there may be opportunities for monetary bonuses based on profit
• Portfolio and references required
• Clear, timely and professional communication expected
