Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Audit Associate to join our growing startup team and support our internal and external audit processes while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records. This role is instrumental in maintaining reliable financial reporting, identifying potential risks, and supporting the broader financial team with audit readiness. Ideal candidates will bring audit experience within U.S.-based companies, a strong understanding of GAAP and GAAS, and the ability to work hands-on in rebuilding and reconciling financial data when necessary.
Job Description:
Assist in planning and execution of internal and external audits
Audit financial statements and associated data for accuracy and compliance
Rebuild and reconcile financial statements as needed to ensure audit readiness
Perform revenue and expense reconciliations to validate financial reporting
Analyze financial records and identify inconsistencies, variances, or areas of risk
Support timely month-end and year-end closing procedures
Prepare and maintain organized audit documentation and working papers
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
Collaborate with tax and bookkeeping teams on audit-related matters
Coordinate with third-party auditors and external partners during audits
Contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes and internal controls
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or equivalent certification (PH or US) required
CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred
3+ years of audit experience with the U.S.-based companies or public accounting firms
Solid understanding of the U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and audit procedures
Experience preparing financial statements and adjusting journal entries
Proficiency with accounting systems and audit tools (e.g., QuickBooks)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment
