Computer Recorder Tester (macOS)

Help us refine our next-generation Computer-Use-Recorder for macOS. The tool logs keyboard- and mouse-events, captures screen recordings, and analyzes usage patterns. You will be working with a top AI-lab, based in San Francisco.

About the Tool
The macOS build records:

Keyboard strokes & mouse input timings

High-resolution screen videos with per-event screenshots

Syste ---------- tadata (window titles, active app, etc.)

All data is encrypted locally, then uploaded to a secure test server for analysis.

Responsibilities
Install & launch the macOS application (signed & notarized).

Execute test scenarios we provide (e.g., multitasking, media editing, coding).

Log observations and report bugs or performance issues.

Rate usability and suggest improvements.

Finish all assigned scenarios within the agreed timeline.

Hardware & OS Requirements (Modern Mac)
Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) or late-2019+ 4-core Intel i5/i7

macOS Ventura 13 or newer (Sonoma 14 recommended)

? 8 GB RAM (16 GB preferred for smooth screen capture)

SSD with ? 10 GB free

Retina / 1080p+ display

Stable internet for data upload (25 Mbps+ recommended)

Technical Skills
Comfortable installing & granting permissions to macOS apps (Screen Recording, Input Monitoring, Accessibility).

Basic knowledge of Activity Monitor / system performance metrics.

Meticulous in following step-by-step instructions and documenting findings.

Time Commitment
Short-term contract: ? 5-10 hours spread throughout the next 1-2 months.
