Hi there! I’m Nara Legrand, founder of Legrand Prep—an elite educational consulting firm that helps students (especially high-achieving, underrepresented youth) score 1400+ on the SAT and win admission to competitive colleges and scholarship programs.

We’re building something bold—educational content that doesn’t look or feel like traditional education. No stuffy lectures. No cookie-cutter slideshows. A creative, forward-thinking video editor who lives and breathes social media trends—especially those happening in the U.S. If you naturally study what’s popping on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Reels, and can adapt those styles to educational content with style, this is for you.

You’re a strong fit if you:
? Are excited about crafting visually engaging short-form videos
? Know how to research and follow social media trends, especially in the U.S. market
? Have a solid command of English (you’ll need to understand and edit content for U.S. audiences)
? Are a go-getter who doesn’t need instructions for every small task—initiative is a must
? Have an eye for design, pacing, and storytelling (not just cutting clips)
? Are collaborative, curious, and open to feedback
? Are a student or early-career editor looking to build a standout portfolio
? Want to work with a founder who values creativity and invests in great collaborators
? Know how to create engaging short-form content that’s informative and entertaining
? Are interested in experimenting with AI tools for video editing

Bonus points if you:
? Have experience editing for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts
? Understand hooks, pacing, subtitles, and brand aesthetics
? Can help generate ideas, not just edit footage

Educational videos with personality (no dry lectures)
Thought leadership clips
Behind-the-scenes and community spotlights
Occasional promo pieces
Hours & Compensation:

Part-time and flexible
Paid per video or on a monthly retainer—open to negotiation based on experience
