Position Summary
WHS seeks an experienced accountant to assume full responsibility for day-to-day bookkeeping, medical billing, payables, and cash-flow management across all subsidiaries. The role requires deep familiarity with U.S. healthcare revenue cycles and the discipline to close the books accurately and on time each month.
Core Responsibilities
-          Billing & Revenue Cycle –
o   Prepare and submit clean claims
o   Post remittances.
o   Resolve denial
-          Bookkeeping (FreshBooks)
o   Reconcile bank & card feeds daily for all subsidiaries
o   Record inter-company transactions and subsidiary allocations.
-          Accounts Payable & Payroll Support
o   Enter vendor bills, schedule payments
o   maintain vendor files, W-9s, and 1099 records.
-          Month-End Close
o   Deliver subsidiary and consolidated P&L balance sheet, and cash summary by the 10th business day.
-          Budgeting & Cash-Flow Planning
o   Maintain a 12-month rolling forecast.
o   Execute Profit-First allocation entries; monitor account balances.
Secondary Responsibilities (as workload allows)
-          Prepare year-end work papers and liaise with the CPA for tax filings and financial reviews.
-          Maintain written SOPs and internal-control checklists for billing, payables, and cash-allocation processes.
-          Deliver a concise weekly dashboard (cash balance, A/R aging, clean-claim rate, forecast variances).
-          Audit high-volume vendor invoices against approved hours before payment.
-          Track regulatory changes in payer rules and brief management on required billing or documentation updates.
-          Perform ad-hoc financial analyses to support new region launches, service-line additions, or staffing models.

Clean-claim rate ? 98 %
Average Days in A/R ? 30
Month-end close completed by the 10th business day
Forecast variance (cash) within ± 5 %
Qualifications
·         5+ years full-charge bookkeeping and U.S. medical-billing experience (home-health preferred)
·         Advanced proficiency with FreshBooks or a comparable cloud accounting system; strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
·         Working knowledge of a clearinghouse and U.S. payer portals
·         Clear written and spoken English; able to collaborate during a minimum two-hour overlap with U.S. Eastern Time
·         Reliable high-speed internet (attach recent speed-test screenshot)
·         Desirable: FreshBooks Certified, or other recognized accounting certification
