As our SEO Strategist , you'll own the entire SEO process across multiple local lead-gen websites (I will be there to help and guide). From keyword research to technical audits, on-page optimization to internal linking—you’ll lead the strategy and execution that gets our sites to rank and perform.
This is a long-term, stable position with room for growth into a leadership role as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
???? SEO Strategy & Keyword Research
Perform keyword research and clustering for U.S.-based local service niches
Plan silo structures and internal linking for city, service, and blog content
Create and maintain keyword maps across the entire website network
???? On-Page & Technical SEO
Optimize titles, meta descriptions, headers, images, and internal links
Implement schema markup (FAQ, LocalBusiness, Services, etc.)
Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals and page speed
Conduct technical audits (crawl errors, redirects, indexation issues)
???? Local SEO (Google Business Profile)
Optimize Google Business Profiles (GMB/GBP) where applicable
Ensure consistent NAP (Name, Address, Phone) across directories
Help with local relevance building and citation planning
???? SEO Tracking & Reporting
Track rankings and performance using Ahrefs, SERanking, or similar tools
Monitor traffic and engagement via Google Search Console & Analytics
Provide regular updates and reports to the team
Qualifications
3+ years of SEO experience (local SEO preferred)
Strong skills in on-page SEO, keyword research, internal linking & site structure
Experience with WordPress and basic HTML/CSS
Technical SEO knowledge (schema, site speed, canonical issues, crawlability)
Familiarity with SEO tools: Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, GSC, GA4, etc.
Comfortable managing multiple projects at once
Highly organized and self-directed with strong attention to detail
Good written and spoken English
Bonus Points If You Have:
Experience working with rank-and-rent or lead generation websites
Familiarity with Google Business Profile optimization
Knowledge of U.S. local search behavior and SERPs
Experience with Webflow (a plus, not required)
