Position Summary
We’re seeking a dedicated Clinic Nurse to join our growing outpatient team. Under the supervision of our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients—managing phone triage, coordinating medication refills, scheduling appointments, and delivering compassionate client support.
Key Responsibilities
• Phone Triage & Client Communication: Answer inbound patient calls; assess refill requests, symptom updates, and urgent needs; escalate clinical concerns to the NP/MD.
• Medication Management: Process and track refill requests in the EHR; coordinate with pharmacies; secure insurance authorizations.
• Patient Education: Counsel clients on medication regimens, side-effect monitoring, and follow-up care instructions.
• Scheduling & Phone Coverage: Book and confirm patient appointments; maintain general phone-line coverage.
• Documentation & Coordination: Accurately chart all encounters, interventions, and care plans
• Team Collaboration: Partner with providers, administrative staff, and community resources to optimize patient experience and clinic workflows.
Qualifications
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience in outpatient mental health or a related medical setting
• Strong phone-triage and patient-education abilities
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional communication
