Artist for Fantasy D&D Business

We run a growing eCommerce art business that brings Dungeons & Dragons and fantasy characters to life through custom portrait commissions. We’re looking for a long-term secondary artist to join our team and help refine AI-generated base images into polished final portraits.

This role is for someone who is passionate about fantasy art, has an eye for detail, and enjoys the challenge of turning rough base images into finished work that reflects a customer's description.

Job Overview

You will be provided with many AI-generated base images for each commission.

Your job is to:

- Select the strongest base from many generated images

- Paint over and refine it using Photoshop or a similar tool (Clip studio paint, etc)

- Find and Fix ALL AI errors (e.g. extra fingers, warped features, background)

- Add character-specific details from customer notes

- Blend everything together into a polished fantasy portrait

Key Traits We’re Looking For :

- Strong visual eye and attention to small details

- Consistency and reliability in turnaround time

- Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply feedback

Requirements :

- Proficient in Photoshop or equivalent digital painting software (Clip studio paint, etc)

- Knows how to use and navigate in ---------- for messaging and communication

- High attention to detail — we’re counting on you to catch AI errors and add in customer details based on notes from the customer

- Mentions the word artichoke in their application video to show attention to detail

- Comfortable working independently and communicating over ----------

- Fluent in English (written and spoken) — enough for instructions and occasional calls

Compensation :

- $8 USD per completed set (2 final image versions per order)

+$1–$3 per revision (based on complexity)

Estimated 5–10 orders per week to start, with room to grow.
