The Website Designer will work directly with our maintenance clients to implement design updates, improve site aesthetics and functionality, and ensure a high standard of web presence. You’ll be working on a variety of platforms (mostly WordPress) to execute small to medium-sized tasks with precision and style.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform ongoing website updates including text changes, image replacements, layout improvements, and plugin styling.
Ensure websites remain visually cohesive, mobile-responsive, and user-friendly.
Collaborate with developers, account managers, and support staff to address design-related client requests.
Troubleshoot visual layout or display issues across browsers and devices.
Implement light UI/UX improvements based on client feedback and web best practices.
Maintain design consistency across updates using brand guidelines and previous work.
Regularly audit sites for outdated design elements and propose improvements.
Ability to work ET time zone and attend weekly meetings.
Qualifications:
2+ years of professional website design experience (agency or freelance).
Strong knowledge of Wix
Proficient in HTML/CSS (you don’t need to be a coder, but must know your way around).
Solid understanding of responsive design, web typography, and layout principles.
Eye for detail and quality, especially when working on small updates.
Ability to work on multiple sites and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with remote teams.
