JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a MERN stack developer (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) to maintain, enhance, and scale the Perfect Trainer platform. You will work on both the frontend and backend, optimizing performance, implementing new features, and ensuring system stability.

Responsibilities:
Maintain and improve the existing monolithic MERN application
Develop and optimize frontend features using React.js
Manage backend APIs with Node.js and Express.js
Work with MongoDB Atlas for data storage and queries
Manage deployment with PM2 and Nginx on a Namecheap-hosted Linux server
Implement and troubleshoot JWT-based authentication and access control
Improve performance, security, and scalability of the app
Collaborate on UI/UX improvements for both desktop and tablet users
Work with environment variables and config files for deployment
Support the marketing and growth team with performance and tracking needs



Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with a strong MERN background
Strong knowledge of:
React.js, including routing (React Router) and state management
Node.js with Express.js
MongoDB, preferably with Atlas cloud deployment
Experience with JWT authentication and security best practices
Proficient in Linux server environments (AlmaLinux or similar)
Comfortable configuring Nginx for reverse proxy and static file serving
Experience using PM2 for process management
Familiarity with SSL management (Let’s Encrypt or Namecheap SSL)
Understanding of performance monitoring, logging, and backup strategies

Bonus: experience with fitness apps or SaaS platforms

Nice-to-Haves:
Experience integrating Stripe or other payment gateways
Background in building admin dashboards or analytics tools
Familiarity with mobile responsiveness and cross-browser optimization
