Mechanical Drafter (VA Position) – Experience with NY Codes Required!

Qualifications:
At least 2–3 years of drafting experience in plumbing, fire protection and mechanical systems

Strong knowledge and application of New York (NYC) plumbing and mechanical codes

Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or other industry-standard software

Ability to read construction documents, coordinate with architectural/structural trades

Excellent attention to detail and documentation

Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate plumbing and mechanical layouts

Interpret and apply New York state and city code requirements

Coordinate drawings with engineering and architectural teams

Revise drafts based on engineer/client feedback
