If you've always wanted to make videos that get hundreds of thousands of views, now's your chance!
It is crucially important that you have a strong grasp of the English language as our videos are on paleontology, zoology and similar, so being able to understand scientific terminology, and doing research is a must. If paleontology is a personal interest of yours (i.e seen documentaries, reads about it in spare time, etc.) then this role will be perfect for you.
We’d provide script + audio and then it will be your role to find supporting images and videos (and create simple short motion graphics where applicable). Videos and images should be sourced from movies, documentaries, google, art websites (deviantart, artstation, etc.), and studies - so being able to research and google proficiently is important.
Video upload schedule is around 1 - 2 long form videos a week (of between 10 - 26 minutes in length)
To qualify for this position you need to be:
1. Experienced video editor (and experience with motion graphics / simple animations)
2. Highly proficient in English
3. Proficient in research so that you can find the best clips and images
4. Fast and diligent learner - always looking to improve and will take time time to understand things like scientific concepts in order to best add value to the video
5. Organized and punctual with delivery
6. Learns from feedback - providing the same feedback every time without change grows tedious and I want someone who actually learns the feedback we give
7. not afraid to ask questions!
8. You can use whichever professional video editing tools you prefer
Salary depends on time and proficiency.
