Charge Scrubber

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Charge Scrubber to join our billing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of EPIC and healthcare billing processes, with the ability to scrub charges, identify discrepancies, and ensure accuracy in claim submission. Coding experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
* Review and scrub charge data in EPIC to ensure accuracy and compliance with payer guidelines.
* Identify and correct discrepancies or errors in billing codes, charges, and patient information.
* Work closely with the coding team to ensure proper coding practices are followed and enhance claim accuracy.
* Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain missing or corrected information.
* Ensure claims are submitted timely to avoid delays in reimbursement.
* Perform follow-ups on denied or rejected claims, identifying the root cause and addressing issues.
* Maintain knowledge of payer-specific requirements and regulations to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:
* Proven experience working with EPIC (required).
* Coding experience is a plus (CPC, CCS, or similar certifications preferred).
* Strong understanding of healthcare billing processes, CPT/ICD codes, and payer policies.
* Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
