JOB OVERVIEW

Role Overview
As our Website Designer, you’ll lead the creative and user-focused evolution of WLDA.tech. From developing fresh page layouts to ensuring mobile responsiveness, you’ll help design a digital experience that reflects the innovation and inclusivity of our mission.

This role requires a balance of design expertise, user empathy, and technical know-how to support our events, programs, and thought leadership initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Design and build new website pages and components in alignment with WLDA’s brand and community-first values

Ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and smooth user experience across all devices

Collaborate with content, marketing, and community teams to reflect real-time initiatives (e.g., summits, accelerator programs, leadership features)

Recommend and implement UX/UI enhancements to improve site performance and engagement

Maintain consistency in fonts, colors, imagery, and layout throughout the site

Integrate SEO best practices and optimize pages for search discoverability

Conduct periodic audits to identify bugs, broken links, or outdated content

Propose and implement creative visual solutions for new initiatives (e.g., interactive timelines, testimonial showcases, event registration flows)

Qualifications
Proven experience designing and developing websites (preferably in Webflow, WordPress, or similar CMS platforms)

Strong visual design portfolio with a clean, modern aesthetic

Understanding of UX/UI principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design

Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and page speed optimization

Ability to turn abstract ideas into compelling digital experiences

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Passion for inclusive tech, women’s leadership, or community-building is a big plus

Bonus Skills
Animation or interactive design capabilities

Experience working with nonprofits or women-centered organizations

Familiarity with tools like Figma, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite
