Fortnite Gaming Video Editor - SHORT FORM Content

(ATTENTION: VIDEO EDIT UPLOAD REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION - Applications WITHOUT assignment complete will NOT be considered.)

TobyWanShinobi (a Fortnite YouTuber) is looking for an experienced short form video editor and content manager to join his team to edit and produce short form videos for YouTube and TikTok. The primary responsibility of the Video Editor will be to take long form content from videos and live streams and create highly engaging short form content from it. The content will currently be based around Fortnite Zero Build mode.

This is a "make your own hours" type of job that will be highly rewarding for someone who can be very efficient with batch editing. Potentially, all work for the week could be done in a single day if the editor is very efficient. I don't care about the amount of time spent, I only care about the quality of the output. "Choice of content" is the main priority here; I am looking for someone who knows what to clip and post with an engaging title, etc.

Responsibilities:

-Must be a Fortnite gamer or understand Fortnite enough to pick the best plays, avoid choosing ai eliminations, etc.

-Edit Fortnite videos and VODs into pieces of short form content to be used on YouTube and TikTok to drive traffic to my YouTube channel and twitch streams. This also means you will have to watch/scrub through the videos/streams that I upload.

-Produce and upload 10 short form videos per week with titles and hashtags to multiple platforms by downloading my VOD videos and editing them. These should be pretty simple edits without many special effects, etc. A premiere pro template will be used to make things easy.

-Be available to meet with me at specified hours (West Coast PDT times) throughout the week if necessary.

-Potentially join me in custom games of Fortnite to help me create content while you are an example opponent, etc.

-Use my long form and stream content and collaborate with me and my long form editor to create super engaging short form content.

-Save mp4's to our cloud folder for possible final edits/changes by other tea ---------- mbers or to be added to montages, etc.

Requirements:
-Be an avid Fortnite player / BR Gamer
-Proven experience as a video editor in gaming content.
-Good sense of humor and ability to edit content into “fun” experiences to watch.
-Ability to recognize which content has the most potential and edit to create great content.
-Proficient in Adobe Premiere video editing software.
-Knowledge of video formats, codecs, and compression techniques.
-Knowledge of social media platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram) and uploading process
-Be a master of workflow efficieny to batch edit, produce and schedule content.
-Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver projects within deadlines.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Good attitude, kind heart, and desire to help others.
-Major bonus if you are an expert in Adobe Photoshop and can help with thumbnails for other videos, etc.

Working Hours:
Approx 10 to 20 hours per week, but this can vary greatly depending how efficient your workflow is. I only care about the results and output, not your hours.

Salary:
Payment starts at $800 USD a month, with the ability to grow as the channel grows.

These 3 shorts should provide great entertainment or educational value and be less than 60 seconds long.

You can make these videos funny, cool, educational, etc... but make it a "fun" watch for the viewer and keep in mind you are editing for an older audience of 13+, not children. No vulgar or adult content.

I do not expect extreme edits, keep it fairly minimal but make the video "impactful and fun to watch." Make your own story if you'd like. A good editor knows what to include and what to exclude and always has an aim for the content’s intended effect on the viewer.

Export each video as 1080p 60fps and upload to a shareable format (such as Youtube, Google Drive, dropbox, etc.). Ensure that the link you share with me is accessible to me and not private.

I will watch every video and keep a short list of my favorite batches of edits. If your videos are good enough - I will reach out to you with next steps!
