We are a digital agency with 20+ years of experience, and we are seeking a Full Stack Developer to migrate a .NET API to Next.js and implement changes, updates, and new features on a platform built using the following tech stack:
-Backend: Next.js, Prisma (ORM) with SQL Server, tRPC (APIs)
-Front-end (web): React, TypeScript, TailwindCSS
-Front-end (mobile): React Native, TypeScript, CSS
The main goal is to migrate the backend (APIs)
The front-ends (web and mobile), have already been migrated to React and React Native, but there will be maintenance activities (updates, bug fixes) as well as the addition of new features.
This position will require a minimum of 20 hours per week during the migration phase. Maintenance activities are currently underway and will last about 18 months, requiring 5-10 hours/month. This is an independent contractor position with an hourly rate.
Our small, cohesive, and fully remote team has members located in Eastern Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the United States. Our client is U.S.-based.
Duties
-Migrate & update ~100 endpoints
-Implement changes, updates, and new features in the React & ReactNative front-end apps
Qualifications
-Proven work experience 5+ years as a full stack developer
-Expertise in React and React Native application development, with Next.js backends
-Experience working with complex RESTful APIs and ability to
-Experience in developing React Native apps that use local storage (for off-line use), push notifications and integrating apps with 3rd party APIs (Google Maps API)
-Experience with the Play/App Store deployment process
-Fair understanding of DevOps processes – The application is hosted on AWS. The CI & CD setup is already in place and integrated with Git repositories, but you’ll need to understand the deployment process and be able to verify its outcome.
-Knowledge of code versioning tools (e.g., Git, BitBucket)
-Experience using Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA
-Good communication and teamwork skills
-Attention to detail
Preferred, But Not Required
-Knowledge in working with services such as Amplify, Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, RDS, CloudFront, S3, and Cognito
-Experience writing API tests
