We are seeking a talented Account Control Officer to oversee and streamline our billing
and collection processes. This is your chance to make a tangible impact in ensuring
financial accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manages Insurance Verification Officer, Billing Officer, EOB Officer to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Maintains compliance with insurance regulation updates and educates staff regarding all changes
Monitors production billed out the door and estimated collection targets weekly
Investigates down trends with specific insurance carriers
Reviews write-off requests to ensure every avenue has been exhausted in an attempt to collect payment
Sets weekly production and collection targets in order to achieve the yearly company targets
Ensures over the counter collection policies are being enforced to eliminate collection procedures once a patient is discharged
Reviews all the weekly statistics from the billing department in order to battle plan the juniors within that department each and every week
Monitors the A/R report to prevent the over 90-day collectibles from reaching more than 15% of total outstanding G.I. The ACO manages this report by working all aged accounts over 45 days old at least every 30 days
Ensures that all litigation cases, workers comp cases and private pay clients are fully aware of their legal responsibilities and our collection policy procedures
Ensures that timely billing is done both to insurance companies as well as patients that follow a written regimented program of letters,
Submits monthly reports to CEO/Owner and identifies trends for them to discuss at the end of each month
Contributes to all meetings as needed to ensure the front desk is fully educated on how to maximize over-the-counter collected from all patients
Participates in an end of month meeting with CEO/Owner (and MSO Regional Managers if there is one) to report on Billing Stats
Education / Experience
The candidates must have 3-5 years in Physical Therapy
Experience in Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) such as A2C, Prompt, Webpt/therabill, Patient studio, and/or Theraoffice is a plus
