Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and proactive Social Media Coordinator to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in bringing our brands to life on social media by creating compelling graphics and videos, writing engaging copy, and managing posting schedules under the guidance of the Content Manager. This role requires strong design skills in Canva, a knack for social media trends, and excellent communication. Key Responsibilities:
- Design engaging and on-brand static social media graphics using Canva.
- Perform basic video editing to create compelling short-form videos (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts).
- Write clear, concise, and engaging captions tailored to specific platforms (primarily Instagram, potentially TikTok) and client voices.
- Research relevant hashtags, trends, and best practices to optimize content performance and engagement.
- Repurpose existing content (e.g., Google Business Profile posts, blog snippets) into effective social media assets.
- Schedule and publish content across various client social media profiles according to the content calendar.
- Collaborate closely and communicate effectively with the Content Manager and other tea
- Maintain daily availability during agreed-upon business hours and respond promptly to internal communications and requests.
- Stay informed about the latest social media platform updates, features, and trends.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience (ideally 2-3 years) in a social media coordination, management, or content creation role, managing social media accounts.
- Expert-level proficiency in Canva is essential. Please be prepared to showcase your Canva work.
- High proficiency with using AI tools (like ChatGPT) effectively for social media copy or ideation.
- Demonstrated ability to create visually appealing graphics and write engaging social media copy.
- Solid understanding of Instagram and its features (Reels, Stories, Feed posts).
- Basic video editing skills specifically for short-form social video.
- Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail, grammar, and spelling.
- Understanding of social media best practices for audience engagement.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a remote environment.
- Proactive, reliable, and highly responsive communicator.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
- Experience with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Later, Hootsuite, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points):
- Experience creating content for TikTok.
- Experience managing social media for Health & Wellness industry.
- Basic understanding of paid social media concepts.
- Experience with YouTube content or channel management.
Work Structure & Compensation:
- This is a part-time, remote position requiring 10-20 hours per week to start.
- There is a strong intention for this role to transition to full-time if there is a fit.
- Daily availability and responsiveness during core US business hours are required.
- Compensation is a competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
