Full-Time QA Engineer & Release Manager (Remote - Night Shift PH Time)

Tracktile is a modern software platform helping small to medium-sized manufacturers manage production, traceability, inventory, and operations. We’re a growing, fast-moving team solving complex real-world problems for customers across North America. Our stack is 100% TypeScript, and we ship early and often.

We’re looking for a skilled and proactive QA Engineer and Release Manager who can take full ownership of our quality and release process — not just run test cases. You’ll be a key part of our dev team and have direct influence over when features are considered production-ready.


What You’ll Do
• Write and maintain end-to-end tests using Cypress
• Own the pre-release environment, monitor readiness, and validate features before release
• Maintain visibility on what’s ready, what’s not, and what needs attention
• Collaborate closely with developers and our Product Owner to create, review, and publish release notes
• Use feature flags to help separate deployment from release
• Participate in QA and release planning discussions, and continuously improve the release process
• Build tooling, checklists, and test flows to support fast and safe shipping

Our Tech Stack
• Languages & Frameworks: TypeScript, React Native, AWS Lambda
• CI/CD: GitLab CI
• Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, AWS CDK
• Testing: Cypress, Bruno (for API testing)
• Project Process: Continuous delivery mindset with weekly (or more frequent) production releases

What We’re Looking For
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Strong attention to detail and a test-to-break mindset
• Hands-on experience with Cypress or similar E2E testing frameworks
• Confidence working directly with developers to raise issues and question assumptions
• Ability to self-manage, prioritize, and communicate status proactively
• Open to candidates at all levels — we care more about skill and ownership than formal credentials

Compensation & Other Info
• This is a contractor role paid in CAD
• Full-time (40 hours/week), night shift in the Philippines to match Eastern time (9AM–5PM EST)
• No guaranteed 13th-month pay, but performance bonuses or year-end payouts are considered based on company health
• Long-term growth opportunity for the right candidate
