Are you a creative, detail-oriented, and hardworking video editor with a passion for storytelling and visual subtext? We’re launching a new Iceberg-style YouTube channel and are looking for a long-term partner to bring these deep-dive stories to life.

Think tiered mysteries—each layer dives deeper into increasingly obscure and unsettling topics. We focus on the dark, strange, and hidden corners of the internet: lost media, weird websites, digital folklore, and more. If you’re a fan of creators like SIRIUS, Nick Crowley, or Abyssal Detective, you already know the vibe we’re aiming for.
???? Job Requirements:
1. Advanced editing skills with a strong sense of pacing, tone, and atmosphere.
2. Create visually compelling edits using motion graphics and media clips (documentaries, obscure videos, filtered scenes—no stock footage or static images).
3. Implement smooth transitions between iceberg levels with repeatable motion graphics to guide viewers through the tiers.
4. Master visual storytelling using subtext and montage theory. Understanding of the Kuleshov Effect is a big plus.
5. Ability to source additional footage that enhances or adds layers to the narrative, even beyond what’s provided in the script.
6. Comfortable with dense, long-form content (50–70 minutes per video).
7. Familiarity with hooks, pacing tricks, and audience engagement tactics used by top iceberg YouTubers.
