Pay: $6–8 USD/hour depending on experience and role
Weekly Hours: 8–10 hours per week to begin, with potential to increase as we grow together.
Schedule: Flexible, self-paced hours with some overlap in Pacific Time preferred. We ask for availability for a 1–2 hour Zoo
Bonuses: 13th-month bonus provided annually in December, for long-term tea

Role Summary:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and resourceful Grant Research & Writing Assistant to help us find, organize, and apply for relevant grant opportunities. This includes researching suitable grants, preparing summaries, managing a grant tracker, and assisting in writing and submitting grant applications. You’ll work closely with the business owner and team to ensure deadlines are met and materials are polished.

Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify grants for:
- Women-owned small businesses
- E-commerce and wellness brands
- California or Los Angeles-based businesses
- Product-based businesses focused on education, health, sustainability, and maternal care
- Maintain and update a grant tracking spreadsheet, including:
- Grant titles, deadlines, eligibility requirements, links, and notes
- Write clear, compelling first through final drafts of grant applications (using reference materials, templates, and guidance from the business owner)
- Draft supporting documents such as business descriptions, mission statements, bios, and basic financial info (templates provided)
- Track progress of submissions and organize files in Google Drive and Notion
- Help meet deadlines and communicate updates or needs regularly

- Excellent English writing and comprehension skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structure and templates
- Good research and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
- Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and manage deadlines

- Previous experience with grant writing or business funding applications
- Familiarity with Notion, Clickup, or project management tools
- Understanding of small business or nonprofit funding
