Children’s Book Illustrator

We are looking for a gifted and passionate Children’s Book Illustrator to bring our heartfelt and imaginative stories to life. If you love illustrating characters, animals, and playful environments in a style that appeals to young readers and parents alike, this job is for you!

Project Overview:

We are developing a series of children’s books aimed at ages 3–8, focused on positive values, creativity, faith and adventure. We need an illustrator who can create warm, expressive, and vibrant artwork that complements the story’s tone and engages young readers.

Your Responsibilities:
• Create character concepts and style samples based on story themes
• Illustrate full-page and/or spot illustrations across 24–32 pages per book
• Design engaging front and back covers
• Collaborate with our author to revise sketches and artwork as needed
• Deliver files in print-ready and digital formats (PSD or AI layered files preferred)

Ideal Candidate:
• Strong portfolio of children’s book-style illustrations
• Ability to create expressive characters and charming scenes
• Comfortable with revisions and collaboration
• Familiarity with print layout standards (bleeds, trims, etc.)
• Excellent communication and deadline-oriented

Work Details:
• Type: Freelance (with potential for long-term work if successful
• Pay: Project-based, negotiable based on experience and quality
• Hours: Flexible
• Start Date: As soon as possible
