We're looking for a reliable and talented Intermediate Web Developer to help us redesign and upgrade websites for small businesses — and also to support some of our internal projects.
You'll work directly with the founder on everything from full website builds to small updates, ongoing client maintenance, and working on internal web projects.
This is a great fit for someone who:
- Loves learning and technology.
- Enjoys wearing different hats.
- Can handle shifting priorities without drama.
- Takes pride in doing every task well, big or small.
If you get excited about beautiful, functional websites that actually help businesses grow, you'll fit right in!
Your Typical Work Week Might Include
- Creating landing pages in WordPress (Bricks or Elementor) using existing global styles.
- Redesigning a case study template and listing page in Elementor.
- Adding updated images and testimonials to client service pages.
- Backing up WordPress sites, updating WordPress core and plugins, and testing thoroughly.
- Fixing Pagespeed issues and using AI to add SEO meta.
- QA testing across different devices (desktop, tablet, mobile) for responsive design. Test, test, test.
- Converting Figma mockups into fully functional WordPress pages or websites.
- Troubleshooting visual and technical issues, including writing custom CSS and adjusting plugins.
- Moving a website from Cloudways to XCloud.
- Changing transactional
- Recording processes in Loom videos and documenting them in Notion.
- Updating and improving existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with clear steps and screenshots.
- Testing Google Ads conversion tracking setup.
- Setting up advanced Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) (resources provided).
Who We're Looking For
Someone who:
- Has 3–15 years of web development experience (freelance or agency work).
- Has a strong eye for detail. (You'll catch that extra 20px of padding we missed!)
- Understands good visual design: things like page flow, spacing, CTA placement, and using color effectively.
- Speaks up when you notice issues. We love suggestions for improving UX, design, performance, or SEO.
- Is very organized. You use file naming conventions and add alt texts to images.
- Has a problem-solving mindset. You figure things out and document how you did it for yourself and the next person.
- Can confidently write custom CSS – but only when needed. Use globals if they exist!
- Enjoys working independently but also being part of a friendly, supportive team.
- Communicates clearly in written and verbal English.
- Is passionate about good websites and better systems.
Bonus Skills (Not Required, but a Plus)
- Experience with Figma, Photoshop and/or Canva for quick graphics tweaks.
- Skills in jQuery, JavaScript, GSAP, PHP, or SQL.
- Familiarity with SEO basics,
- Comfortable with Google Sheets or Excel.
- Experience with integrations, APIs, JSON.
- Basic experience with command line and server management.
Why Work With Us?
- Flexible Hours - as long as deadlines and quality are met.
- Friendly Team - we value good people, not just good skills.
- Access to Paid Tools and Training
- Opportunities to Grow - we're always improving and learning, and you can too!
- Shared Success - we’re not greedy, we don’t need too much. If we do well, so will you. We take care of our people.
Please send:
- A short introduction about yourself.
- Your portfolio (3+ websites / landing pages you built and are proudest of).
- Your availability (hours per week and preferred working time zone/schedule).
- When you reply, please include the emoji ???? somewhere in your message so we know you’re not a bot and read this. (Attention to detail matters!)
