At Blue Pearl Mortgage Group, we are committed to delivering exceptional service in real estate financing. Our team is growing, and we’re seeking a meticulous and experienced Mortgage Underwriter to support our mission of providing responsible, efficient lending solutions.
Key Responsibilities
-Review and assess loan applications, financial documents, and property appraisals to determine risk levels.
-Analyze the creditworthiness of borrowers while ensuring compliance with underwriting standards and regulatory guidelines.
-Maintain and update underwriting policies and procedures in alignment with industry regulations and company standards.
-Collaborate with loan officers, real estate agents, and clients to clarify documentation and underwriting requirements.
-Evaluate title reports, purchase agreements, and other supporting real estate documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
-Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations for loan approval or denial decisions.
-Ensure timely and efficient processing of underwriting files while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
-Stay current with lending regulations, market conditions, and industry trends to inform underwriting practices.
-Assist with administrative duties such as document management, data entry, and file organization as needed.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field (preferred).
-1–3 years of underwriting experience in the real estate or mortgage industry.
-Strong working knowledge of mortgage and real estate lending guidelines and compliance regulations.
-Proficient in underwriting software systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
-Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
-Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.
- Willing to work graveyard shift PST.
