We are seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to manage and optimize a range of system administration tasks including Linux server management, Docker containerization, cloud storage integration (including S3 services like IDrive® e2), and mail server configurations. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in managing cloud and on-premise environments, troubleshooting server issues, and optimizing performance across multiple services including Nextcloud, Docker containers, and mail servers.
Responsibilities:
Highlight: Docker, Nextcloud, Mail servers
Linux Server Management: Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux-based systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, etc.).
Docker Administration: Install, configure, and manage Docker containers and Docker Compose setups, optimizing resource usage and performance.
Mail Server Management: Administer and troubleshoot mail servers (e.g., Postfix, Dovecot, Exim), including setup of SMTP, IMAP, and custom configurations.
Cloud Storage Integration: Integrate and manage S3-compatible cloud storage services (such as IDrive® e2, Amazon S3, etc.) within different applications and platforms.
**Important**: Nextcloud Administration: Manage Nextcloud deployments, including configuration, scaling, external storage integration, and security.
Security and Compliance: Implement security measures, including TLS encryption, firewalls, server hardening, and compliance with best practices for cloud storage and mail servers.
Backup and Disaster Recovery: Configure and maintain backup systems (cloud and on-premise), ensuring data redundancy and recovery capabilities.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Use monitoring tools to track server health, optimize server performance, and troubleshoot bottlenecks or resource shortages.
Automation and Configuration Management: Automate tasks using Ansible, Terraform, or scripting, and manage server configurations.
Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all system configurations, integrations, and troubleshooting steps.
Requirements:
Extensive experience with Linux systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, etc.).
Proficiency in Docker containerization and orchestration with Docker Compose.
Strong experience with mail server management (Postfix, Dovecot, Exim, etc.).
Hands-on experience with S3-compatible cloud storage services (e.g., IDrive® e2, AWS S3).
Knowledge of Nextcloud administration and configuration for file storage and sharing.
Familiarity with data encryption (TLS, SSL), ransomware protection, and backup solutions.
Strong understanding of security best practices for servers,
Experience with performance monitoring tools for both Linux servers and cloud storage.
Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Chef.
Troubleshooting skills for cloud integrations, server issues, and application performance problems.
Nice to Have:
Experience with high-volume
Familiarity with server virtualization (e.g., KVM, Proxmox) and cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
Experience with network protocols like SMTP, IMAP, POP3, and DNS setup for mail servers.
Familiarity with other cloud storage services such as Google Cloud Storage, Microsoft Azure Blob Storage, etc.
