Following the guidance of the NCC Education Assessments/Operations team:
• To mark all candidate scripts provided by NCC Education to the appointed marker within the timeframes specified by NCC Education
• To provide clear and accurate marking evidence on each candidate’s script
• To provide a report on candidate performance using the template provided by NCC Education
• Following initial submission of marks and report to NCC Education, to implement further changes to marks / marking processes that may be required as a result of standardisation processes, up to and including conclusion of the NCC Education Assessment Board (within the specified timeframe)
• To respond to any enquires by NCC Education regarding the appointed marker’s marking
• To provide any additional commentary / justification of marking to the NCC Education Assessment Board
• To respond to and act on any feedback provided by NCC Education through performance management processes
• To undertake training as required by NCC Education.
• Where no conflict of interest arises and when requested, to perform candidate or cohort reviews in order to confirm that marking and moderation procedures have been carried out correctly.
Essential
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area.
• Proven experience in teaching or assessing the relevant subject.
• Strong understanding of UK and international academic standards.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Reliable internet connection and digital literacy (e.g., use of online marking portals or systems).
Desirable
• Previous experience as an examiner or marker for an awarding body.
