Structural Design Engineer

-minimum two (2) years work experience in understanding of structural engineering related to residential homes and up to 3 story commercial buildings
-attention to detail
-familiarity with the International Building Code (IBC)
-use of Autodesk AutoCad LT
-use of Enercalc for structural calculations and analysis
-use of MS Office products
-familiarity with design in USA English units (ft, lbs)
-a background designing with wood
-understanding wind, seismic, live and dead loads and applying these loads to design the structure
-experience designing with concrete and steel is desirable
-ability to design and draw structural details including footings, connections and cross sections
