Procurement & Bidding Specialist

About the Role

Giatech Consumer Goods Wholesaling is looking for a Procurement & Bidding Specialist to help us expand across government and corporate markets. This role is ideal for someone resourceful, driven, and ready to wear multiple hats — from handling PhilGEPS bidding, to opening corporate accounts, to building a strong supplier network.

This is a full-time contractor role, with an opportunity for full-time employment based on performance. Remote work setup with occasional fieldwork to government offices or corporate client meetings. Candidate must be willing to travel from time to time to government offices (transportation allowance provided).

What We’re Looking For
• 2+ years of experience in procurement, business development, or bidding (PhilGEPS experience is a strong plus but not strictly required)
• Strong organizational skills, negotiation ability, and attention to detail
• Confident communicator who can work independently and manage projects end-to-end
• Entrepreneurial mindset — thrives in early-stage environments with minimal handholding
• Willingness to travel for bid submissions, supplier meetings, or client engagements
• Own working laptop or desktop and stable internet connection

What You’ll Be Doing
• PhilGEPS Bidding: Monitor opportunities, prepare and submit bids (training provided if needed)
• Corporate Accounts: Identify and approach potential private sector clients for supply contracts
• Vendor Network: Build and maintain a pipeline of reliable direct suppliers for key product categories (airconditioning, IT, office equipment, consumer goods, etc.)
• Sales Development: Open conversations, send proposals, and support negotiations with both government and corporate buyers
• Operations Support: Coordinate deliveries, documentation, billing, and post-award compliance when contracts are secured
• Market Intelligence: Track industry trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to keep Giatech competitive
